Wedding Party

james latzel, officiant
james and Kate met at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in 2002. They have a shared love of folk music and have attended Falconridge Folk Festival together many times. james is married to Lisa Niedermeyer, who is also in the wedding party. james works as a freelance theatre electrician in and around New York. Ask him for his green curry recipe. 

KATE'S WEDDING PARTY
Lisa Niedermeyer: Lisa and Kate were roommates in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn for five years. Lisa works as Director of Client Development for Fractured Atlas, a national non-profit artist service organization. She is also is james' wife. Lisa is a practitioner of Bikram Yoga, a Spartan Race finisher, and has a not-so-secret love of soft serve ice cream. 
Nick Kolin: Nick and Kate met in college, attended NYU together, and frequently work together on projects such as Fall for Dance, Lincoln Center Festival, and the Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary School. Nick is a freelance Lighting Designer who has designed for Mark Morris Dance Group, Philadanco, and Hunter College.  His hip hop mix CDs are unparalleled. Nick lives in Brooklyn. 
Meghan VonVett: Meghan and Kate met during Fall for Dance at New York City Center. Meghan currently works as the Technical Director at the David H. Koch Theatre. Originally from Maine, she lives in Astoria and is often found in Kate and Evan's apartment drinking prosecco. Her bicycle is named Monster. 
Emily Purcell: Emily is Evan's sister. Emily is a graduate of Paul Smith's College. She recently finished coursework in IT and Networking at Vermont Tech. Emily and Kate bonded over their love of Young Adult fiction, folk music, and Maine Coon cats. She is a great kayaker, and currently resides in Burlington, Vermont.

EVAN'S WEDDING PARTY
Nick McDermott: Nick and Evan met in college and were roommates for many years. Nick works for theatrical contractors Pook, Diemont, and Ohl in the Bronx. He is an amazing cook known for his pork barbecue. Nick and his wife Whitney are unparalleled craftsmen, and recently remodeled their kitchen with cabinetry that they made themselves. 
Murat Üstüner: Murat and Evan worked together on the NTV studios in Turkey. Originally from Istanbul, Murat is currently a television set designer with Clickspring in New York City. Murat is one of the most poetic people we know, and a frequent smasher of wine glasses (see registry). 
Carla Belliso:  Carla and Evan met in college. Carla works for New York City Ballet in the Men's Wardrobe department. Carla also heads Fermata Designs, which creates vintage-inspired, custom wedding gowns and also offers restyling services of heirloom gowns. She is also an avid traveler and an accomplished cook. Ask her about pici!
Liz Coleman: Liz and Evan also met in college. Liz is a Broadway sound engineer who has recently worked on shows including the George Takei musical Allegiance, On the Town, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Liz is a certified yoga instructor and serious knitter. Her pottery can be found in several places in Kate and Evan's apartment-- including Kate's favorite coffee mug.  

OTHER FOLKS TO KNOW
Jane Scogin, Flower Girl
Jane is the daughter of Nina Bellisio (Carla's sister) and Damien Scogin, Evan's friend and fishing buddy. She just turned 4, and already has excellent taste in music, and one of her favorite bands is Queen. You can expect Jane to wear a twirly dress.
Brian Phillips, Reader
Brian teaches drama and history at Trinity Episcopal School, where Kate went to high school. Director, designer, dramaturg, technical director-- Brian does it all, and he introduced Kate to the backstage world in general, and lighting specifically. Brian lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife Alice (who also teaches at Trinity), and their two children, Madelyn (a student at William and Mary) and Griffin (a student at Trinity). 
Joanne Ardiuno, Reader
It was in Joanne's back yard that Evan and Kate first met-- Joanne recognized their connection before they did! Joanne is the Artistic Director of the Ballet Theatre of Scranton, where she lives with her husband Paul and their son Eric. Evan always looks forward to programming the BTOS spring performance.
